I mean is there any doubt? I live in Camden, though (so many rad shows). Not SoHo.

SoHo was in reference to SPACE. You never know? Guess you could have been talking about Brighton? Loved CAMDEN, love that whole city. Something to do every night. Last time I was there I went to this club in Vauxhall at six in the morning and listened to tech house for an hour...then got breakfast...great day!

Brighton's a cool city. Lots of rad gay bars.

I went to a gay bar in SoHo once. The only gay bar I've ever been to. It was like any other bar except with slightly more gay people.

Only one gay bar?
Well it's not really true now that gayness is out of the closet, but gay bars used to be the best places to get hammered for CHEAP AND to meet/pick up cool women. So if you're a young man, I get it. But if you're old like me, I'm sorry you missed out.

No matter what the situation is, I missed out.
I went to that bar with my female orthodox Jewish friend so we both stood out like sore thumbs.

The thing with the whole baba yaga's Hut/raw power affiliated scene in London is that the only people going to the shows are men of 35+ years. The kids aren't down this shit. Their loss. Pigs x7 are fantastic. Gnod too.

And don't forget all the beards and craft beer.
There are a few cool bands doing heavy shit round here. I mean, we have Sea Bastard after all...

Beards and craft beer = heavy music in the Uk right now right?
And DoS, if you go to those gigs we've likely been in the same room several times by now

I went to a dungeon show in Edinburgh once. It was sweet.

Oh what the hell.

Had to bail on Raw Power for Swans (who were fantastic) but it was a very, very difficult choice. Did you see Hey Colossus at the 100 a few weeks ago?

I went to a gig in an abandoned bank vault once where they turned all the lights off when people played (as in, it was literally in total darkness - one of the acts even put gaffer tape over all the LEDs on his equipment). That was quite cool.

Can't reapeat this post too often. One of my favourite TD albums. I absolutely adore their early album "Zeit", much more than "Atem".
