If it's purple, I want it.

I think I have stuff that can do all the Erupter sounds, but I can't shake thinking how good one would look and sound right before my hm3.

Most recently I bid on an RV-3. I was so relieved when my max bid was outbid. I didn't even want it.
I've actually been playing a lot more recently so knowing the limitations of your gear is super helpful. Also, finding out a lot of stuff is super versatile. As much as I wanted a this $300 distortion...I know I can barely dial my amps past 9 o'clock on the clean channel so I will never fully use that pedal.
I told actualidiot this in another thread but I pretty much own everything I could ever want...and whatever I else I wanted is actually coming in the mail very soon.
Fortunately I don't have expensive taste (excuse earlier mention of $300 distortion, I would never pay that much for anything) anymore.
Most guitars I gas over are at most $250...amps I like are even less...but I don't "want" or "need" or "want to want" either.

I should get a band.
This! Everytime my band is not gigging much or rehearsing much, my board always changes drastically. For no good reason.

I like the implication that some GAS has a point. With my music, I probably haven't "needed" any new gear in like two years. Everything has just been trying stuff out for fun or exploring. Yet I'm always gassing for something. And things I need, like a recording interface, I don't gas for. It's like a super rational, pragmatic shopping trip haha

I think this describes every single pedal I've ever purchased...

Did you buy that purple Mini on Talkbass?

No, I did not, but I did manage to find myself a purple EQD Erupter at non-Talkbass prices.

Just focus your entire GAS unto some Godot of the pedal world, forever out of reach, and forget about the fleeting lust after the next new thing.
Also, these are tools, not idols. Let's worship them anyway!

Pro tip: have no money and watch your GAS disappear! It worked for me and it can work for you, too.

That doesn't work for me.
