Then go visit some places you think you might like to move and see what happens. :)

You can't always wait for life to jerk you off, I second big boi D.o.S.'s suggestion.

ok so what's a place that is

- Affordable to live alone for someone with a bachelor's degree (unfortunately for everybody the degree is in Art)
- You can bike nearly everywhere (I can't drive and I'm not going to)
- Warm weather a reasonable amount of the year (to ease the crushing winter depressions)
- Not full mostly of white people/bigots
- Lots of space so I can play my music in peace in my home without complaints
- Nature is there?

idk how do people decide where to exist

I drove from ages 16-26 and it was a constant source of stress and huge cost. Cars are also incredibly dangerous and terrible for the environment as we all know. I just feel like I have enough financial obstacles to overcome to get myself into a better life without having to worry about spending thousands of dollars on a death trap money pit? If the area supplements bikability with public transportation for extended traveling and reasonable proximity to airport all the better.

How hard is it to emigrate to Denmark/learn Danish?

This sounds a lot like Philly, except possibly the warm weather. How warm? Where do you live now?

The warmth is probably one of the more minor considerations. The big things are affordability (including work availability), physical mobility, and space. I live in Brooklyn now.

Danish is weird but probably not impossible.

Philly could be rad, I don't know enough about the city but maybe PM kbit since he moved there pretty recently?

Yeah, Philly would definitely be worth checking out then. It's certainly not any colder than New York, and it hits all your other bullet-points (even the nature one, what with Fairmount Park and the Wissahickon, etc.). I live in West Philly, and all the houses out here are big Victorian homes, many of which are home to band practices or show spaces. There are also converted warehouses in Kensington/Port Richmond (maybe Fishtown too?) that people live and play music in. As long as you're not trying to live downtown, it should be easy to find a home you can be loud in (though it would probably be easier with roommates). Depending on the area of town, rent can be absurdly cheap too.

Comesect, you're definitely thinking of South St.
