Cool! I've got the GVT15H (Holy Schnikes turned me on to this thing years ago) and I've always enjoyed it.. it's more American sounding but not a Fender clone. Not a ton of crunch on tap but it plays nicely with pedals and has spring reverb + effects loop. Neat amps :)

Yeah, I mostly depend on my pedals for crunch so the platform works well for me. Plus you can typically find them used pretty cheap, since it seems Ampeg had a tough time moving them when they were introduced.

I doubt they're going to become valuable, and they're PCB amps so won't be super repairable in the future, but every time there's a really super cheap GVT amp on EBay or Reverb, I'm tempted to scoop it up and hold on to. There's other amps that are good that end up even cheaper used, though, like the Excelsiors and others that I can't think of offhand.
