Monday was interesting. I spent the middle of the day building wooden crates with my dad, to use as a coffee table. I talked to a recruiter about a job. Unfortunately, when evening came, it took a negative turn. This morning was better, but I am struggling to be supportive. I have to keep myself motivated and engaged in job hunting and house work and the such.
Friday is my birthday. She booked a night at an inn and dinner at a James Beard Award winning restaurant. I'm excited for that.

Had a good night watching Unsolved Mysteries. Made an appointment to get my dog spayed.
We had a really key moment. I mentioned trimming my beard for the dinner on Friday and she said not to beat myself up if I didn't do it. She said she understands and that at least I am getting out of bed and functioning through my depression. It was a really crystalline moment.

Having your dog is crucial. Can take a situation that's total shit and make it pretty bearable. Best of luck, man

Beagle mutts. I bought them from a woman who was at the hospital taking care of her dad and needed to get rid of them. Awful cute.
I have a fantastic job opportunity tomorrow with a company I really want to work for. I'm praying to the Machine God.

Mars be praised, I killed it. I'm really confident that I got this one. God, I hope so. It is a perfect fit.

We gave the puppies away last night to a lady who fosters dogs. She will get them the shots and spayed and find good homes for them. We are just not in the position to take proper care of them. I found out this morning that the job I interviewed for last week is now filled by someone else. I thought I killed it. I did research, I was confident and prepared, I wore a suit. I am a bit devastated. I took a hot shower and suddenly had a paper from my recruiter to sign, so he can put me in front of a different company. Then, as I was preparing to print it, I got a call from a company I had applied to and we had an impromptu phone interview. I've interviewed a few times, now. I just want a company to take a chance on little old three chord me.

It'll work out, man. I go through this stuff being freelance; sometimes it gets to be a really long time between jobs and I start to feel worthless, but then something always comes around. The valleys are beyond frustrating though—believe me, I know.
