From not having the pedal or the editor, but after a bit of internet reading, it seems like the "Assign"
function offers a lot of... functionality. But it seems like (if I read and comprehended correctly) there
are some parameters that are baked into particular delay types. So pitch can be changed in "Shimmer"
mode, but not necessarily others? Or...something?
The idea of automating LFO/BPM sweeps, setting envelopes to control certain things, all that seems
intriguing. Not sure how the workflow of figuring it all out would be for me. But... intriguing.

You can look at the manual. If it's adjustable for that particular delay/type, it's assignable.
That's how it is on all of the Roland stuff with assigns, you can go to literal crazytown.

Might have to book a ticket. I hear Crazytown is nice this time of year.
Just not sure I'm as flexible and as patient as Crazytown deserves.

It's fast and simple. Select the source of the assign (external switches, internal LFO, etc), and what it adjusts, then the range affected. It's all pull-down menus in the editor.
