I really dig both of them a lot and they're different enough that it's totally worth having both. Someone with more circuit knowledge can probably explain this or debunk it, but the frazz sounds like it does similar things as a TAFM, if that helps you narrow it down.
Actually, yeah...Let's hear it from people who know what the deal is with the Dazzler's pedigree. I'm always curious about what ballpark the circuit of a boutique pedal is in.

The Frazz is not based on any existing fuzzes. Low gain mode has a single gain stage and no gating, high gain mode has four gain stages and is gated. There is a clean blend. It uses silicon transistors and also has a fuzzed out IC. Low gain cleans up well, high gain is massively saturated.

I'm nuts in that way, as well, although my assortment could not be more random. I'm not so into Muffs. I have a Quantum Mystic which I push with a boost, a Tone Reaper, which I push with the QM, but not with the boost because the boost has a buffer that makes the Reaper sound like ass. I also have a Fuzzolo, a Rat clone and I've got a Meathead Deluxe clone on the way. I want a "real" Superfuzz (i.e. actually sounds like a Univox), and a Terminal or Sasori, and some of the old Devi Evers back that I eventually sold.

But I'm in one band that plays 8-10 songs. Do I need to have as many fuzzes as songs? I also have a high gain amp (that I seldom use). What am I even trying to do? The boosted QM sounds awesome as a baseline distortion, and the Tone Reaper and Fuzzolo sound pretty great by themselves, too.

I might add that I'm a total contrarian, so if everyone is telling me to get a Fuck or a TAFM, I will never do it. Then, in a couple of years, I'll be asking myself why I was cutting my nose off to spite my face.

I was relieved today to find that Coast Sonic sold out of the Frazz. I had to exercise some serious restraint before :p

I'm selling my fuzz's..starting over..
...found I really liked the wave shape on the harmonic transformer...any thing with multiple waveshape options like that?....think I may just choose 3 good fuzz and have them in one enclosure.
