Honestly the worst word that can be associated with pedals and the pedal business to me is "transparent"

I guess it's kinda useful when we're talking eq's, compressors, preamps and such, where in some situations you just want to use them as utility units without coloring the sound. But transparent distortions? Fuck outta heeere.

Transparent oscillating fuzz. Transparent delay. Transparent 12 seconds reverb. WHY WOULD YOU WANT ANY OF THAT TO BE TRANSPARENT?
