Just barbecue it has a bunch of extra pots in place of resistors to ground doesn't mean it's not a really simple circuit. :snax:

Didn't steve vai already have a signature drive pedal with ibanez?

also I think it sounds fine but I also like the legacy amps so shrug.

My dad always uses Steve Vai as an example of "rock music he actually likes".
Then he proceeds to listen to about fifteen seconds of him before turning it off because nobody can actually listen to that shit.

Funny story, I bought one of those Steve Vai Morley Wahs because a dude in a garage rock band I liked used one and because normal wahs deserve to be thrown into a volcano and destroyed by the aliens from Independence Day.

I wish Vai and Roth had stayed together. I really like him on Skyscraper, but whenever I hear him on his own I wish he had a coke-addled frontman.

Ok the demo sucked but the pedal sounded good.
Would've been nice to see some of the different things it is capable of.

But im thinking itd be a good partner for the Mooer Oceanmachine for ultimate shredgaze cheesefest.

Totally agree with you there. Was surprised by the footage I've seen—just comes off as an average cool/funny NY dude.

DLR is criminally underrated. I was never a VH fan, but his solo stuff (and various interviews) has always kinda hinted that there's a lot more going on than just the zany party dude shtick, like actual depth under the surface, which has made me hear the VH stuff in a different light retroactively. Like, some kind of Pagliacci-in-Spandex thing.

Oh my god that commercial video thing is so funny.

Like, who fucking knows what he's actually plugged in to, with that sweet shredgaze delay. The pedal is nowhere to be found in the clip. No clean tone reference or anything. He could be using any amp/pedal combination on earth. They just don't bother to even try saying "yeah here's the pedal right here, I'm plugged in to it!"

Is it supposed to be a pedal promo or a teaser for his new album? *Sponsored by Carvin*

What really got me were those sweet still frames of him, mid-ejac, with the pedal just sitting around somewhere. "Here's sweetie Steve and his pedal is on a music stand pretty close to where he is!"

Good gravy, that was the funniest thing I've seen all week.

I think the most important thing to note from this thread is that shredgaze is now a thing.

 He listened to it for the appropriate length of time a guitar solo should last.
