I love that GIF. Once upon a time I was on a sports board for about 6 years and we had this guy who would always meltdown over the dumbest shit. He was always freaking out over unsubstantiated rumors and off-the-field nonsense. I used that GIF for his 1-10 blow-up chart.

BTW, where are you Jere?

Pulling posts out of their context and throwing them back at someone just because.
I don't see anything impolite or unkind about quoting someone. If you're bothered by a quote, then your real problem begins with the author (you), not the person who cites a previous remark. It seems silly to me to make comments, if you don't ever want them referenced. But whatever, I don't give a shit how you or anyone else feels about a piece of gear. It's ultimately up to individuals to make up their own minds.
Lets both chillax man.

I'm sorry to say but you came across to me like a TGP dude imposing a moral and then playing innocent.
I've seen multiple threads on here where similar issues with you occurred (the feeling of you imposing a moral and then playing innocent).

The unintended arguments you are referring to in your other posts might very well have something to do with that.
Maybe you can take this to heart, maybe not, that's for you to decide.

I have never seen anyone on ILF cross referencing multiple specific quotes from the same person from different threads.
Your intention might have been funny but between the lines you are, by bringing across your selection of quotes and presenting them in your way, imposing a moral.

I also have never seen you make a joke.
You should warn people for that shit man, use smileys or what not.
Or at least include a sentence like "I don't mean it bad bro, just thought it was funny" or something of the like.

I guess we're possibly both taking ourselves too seriously.
My posts were also meant to sarcastically and light-heartedly ask you to chillax.
Guess we had a miscommunication there too.

Anyway, I hope we can leave it at that and start discussing about gear again.
Nobody has time for or is interested in this shit.

Do you want the sound of an Odyssey?

Yes -> Get Odyssey

No -> Get Minilogue

BONUS OPTION: Scour the fuck out of craigslist for a sweet deal on old polysynths and hope that the voicecards don't go out.

Boner option: an ORIGINAL VINTAGE Arp Axxe :!!!: They go for about the same as the Odyssey modules and the Minilogue.

I have the KRAP Odyssey. I bought it because I like the sound of an ARP Odyssey but paying for one of those now is beyond my budget. I got mine used for like $500. I actually prefer the smaller size and mini keys so both the minilogue and KRAP are perfect for me.

The minilogue and monologue look awesome though. I would totally get those but as I said in other threads I'm making it a point not to get another synth cause I love pedals.

I would get the minilogue if I were you. It is not only an awesome looking synth but a cool utility (you can use it as an effects processor and oscilloscope). That said I love my KRAP.

I don't need your guidelines, Tristan. I don't need your school counselor routine. I don't need a fucking manual from you on how to post. I don't need to sit on Oprah's couch for poster rehabilitation. ---You're telling me I'm "imposing a moral" (which is one of the most absurdly pretentious and moronic things I've ever read on here), and yet you've got the audacity to give me fucking suggestions on how to participate on the board, in order to avoid facing future scrutiny from you. Who is giving whom a moral? ---Because it certainly seems to me you are the one who is "imposing a moral" as you framed it 3 times.

If you want to send me more counselor notes, feel free to PM me. I can't promise I'll take them under advisement, but at least no one else will have to read them.

Well, that's pretty much what I meant.
Dude, you just seem so humourless.
Both in writing and in reading comprehension.
I mean, that way, if you don't warn people that you're actually about to use humor.
Yeah, things might get, uhh…
Entangled?

Whoopie Cussions - Whoopie Percussions everywhere!
:joy: :omg: :!!!:

(sorry, excuse me, I just used some humour there, yeah, it was pretty bad and there were no asses involved)…

Lets forget about it (not in a Donnie Brasco way), I really can't take this seriously anymore.
Even Picard can't take this seriously, we need an upside down Picard for this or something...

Tristan, what makes you so unlikable and charmless is that you're hypocritical little turd, and I hate hypocrites. I hate dishonest, cowardly people who deliberately try to mask their intent. It's a disgusting way to act, but it's even more disgusting when someone thinks they can insult other people by acting like they've done nothing wrong. You contradict yourself again and again, and you make no apologies for it, because you don't care that you're an obnoxious, self-righteous fuck. ----You said you were ready to drop it, but that was an obvious lie. ---Being over something means dropping something and removing yourself from a situation-----not getting in parting shots as you slowly make a reluctant exit. That's a bullshit way to act. You were given multiple opportunities to drop it, but you couldn't do it, because you wanted to pop off again.

----I say, "Whatever."----But that wasn't good enough for you, because you wanted to get in another condescending and self-congratulatory remark. (this pretentious idiocy about "imposing a moral") Then I say "PM me", but you don't want to drop it or continue it privately, you want to continue trying to grab attention, because you want to be noticed. My suggestion wasn't good enough for you, because you couldn't bare the thought of respecting someone else's wishes.

You like to pretend you're so chill and above-it-all, but that's not true, and I'm willing to call you out on your dishonest bullshit. You think your opinions should go unchallenged and it got under your skin that I quoted you, regardless of the initial intent----big fucking deal, you whiny little baby.

I don't come here to play court jester or to battle for e-credit. ----I don't give a fuck about your opinions on anything---me, gear, the weather, anything. I'm juggling way too many things in my life to be bothered with amusing you or anyone else. It's not my job to entertain you. I visit the site because music is one of the most important things in my life and always has been----I have limited time in my day to read up on the daily happenings, and I don't have the time or the motivation to do and be everywhere at once.

I come to this board to read gear news and to share Web links. That's it. ---I don't come here to read people's current book lists or to see the incredibly painful attempts at childish humor. ---For laughs, I watch my favorite shows or I communicate with people outside the internet. I do my best not to be confrontational or bristly with people, but occasionally I voice a disagreement. ----I don't do it to chase someone off the board. I do it, because I feel like posting a secondary view. I ignore a lot of things that I disagree with and I do my best to wrap up a disagreement as quickly and as delicately as possible. In your case, though, where you're a dishonest fuck who intentionally harasses someone under the guise of it being for someone else's benefit, I don't think that shit is cute, clever or respectable. I think you're a fucking ass and I don't respect you. Period.

You can either honor my wishes to quit addressing me, or you can keep showing off your true intent---which is to grab attention and deliberately harass someone who'd rather be chatting about gear. For my own part, I'll do my best not to address you, because my limited exchanges with you yield absolutely no gratification whatsoever.

Well that escalated.

Don't be assholes dudes.
The only rule at ilf.

Reread your posts and make sure that you're happy with them considering that one rule.

There is a block button - if you two get under each other's skin enough just block each other.

I love how disappointed the dinosaur is.

Also there is a form factor to consider besides sound. Sliders vs knobs. I personally prefer sliders on synths. Hence why I think I was drawn to ARPS over Moogs from day 1. Not a sound preference. Just a simple form factor.

You can get an MS-20 mini for cheap now too, so there is another option. For the street price, that has to be one of the most unanimously loved synths. I personally get a lot out of that synth and it helped with some of my GAS and I think continues to save me money.

Or, you could get a Shruthi as I'm told those knock most monos out of the water especially for the price. Especially, especially for the price of you build your own.

Please excuse my tangent. Trying to be helpful.
