destroyerjazz wrote:alright, here you go! i tried to play mostly repetitive single note stuff, so you can get an idea of how different pedals sound while playing the same thing. you can obviously hear when i'm holding down the chk chk boom. i just recorded with a standard tele, into the pedals, straight into my soundcard in garageband with no amp simulators because i hate how the clean amp simulators on there sound. some parts get kind of loud from the delay with full repeats with the loop feedbacking! a fun little trick is to have the muff and delay on, let it feedback and while holding down the CCB still, really quickly flip the time knob on the delay so it oscillates a little and then hit on the ps-5. you just got a golden coin! lots of muff knob twiddling to give you an idea how changing the sustain and tone knobs can greatly alter the sound, and then i go back and forth from having the ps-5 on/off to show you how that sounds too. this is a really fun noisemaker! but i've also found some more "useful" sounds i'll be definitely using for band stuff. http://drop.io/eqyy9xy
super great stuff!
you didn't happen to film this when ya did it? this one great demo.

mount two mirrors facing each other while you did it so that they reflect onto infinity. get some strobe lights, disco ball and a fog machine going. dress up with some wigs and bad make up. wear a unitard.
put the pedal on top of your monitor with some sorta itunes/winamp real time visualization going
have some random creepy old person rocking out in the shot. make sure they take their teeth out. feed them peanut butter. have them smile.
cut in shots of beavis and butthead rocking out
while tweaking make sure a random third and fourth hand pops into the frame and twiddles a knob at some point. extra points for finger snapping and devils horns from 5th and 6th hands.
that would be awesome.

This is the best idea for a pedal vid ever, except it's missing robots. As aen said in his Hair of the Dog vid, it doesn't have everything unless there's a robot in it.

okayyy, here's the video! recorded the audio the same way, recorded the video with imovie on my macbook pro, so it was really hard to tilt my computer at an angle to be able to see the pedals. the occasional buzzing when i step on the CCB is the shitty radioshack 1/4" to 1/8" cord slipping in/out, not the CCB! i wish i still had my mxr blue box. that pedal would be probably be ridiculoussss through the CCB. also, at one point you can see me just holding down the CCB and not playing, but my tone is going crazy, that's me switching pickups on the "beat" and then messing with my tone knob, total sweeping synth tone! it wouldn''t let me record in stereo, so now the sound only comes in the left speaker, but enjoy!

great job!
fantastic foot work!
you can probably fix your audio issue if you export with the audio set to mono, not stereo
and nice devil horns!
can i twitter this as a fan submitted demo video?
p.s. i edited your post to display the vimeo vid embeded.

nice! i always meant stereo, not mono. i edited that. i need to try out the muff, ps-5, and my biyang ad7. the biyang has the most ridiculous self oscillation i've ever heard for any delay pedal ever, i need to try that combo asap! also it's not like most delay pedals where once you turn the pedal off, the delay "starts over" when you turn it back on. no sir, if you have wild self oscillation when you turn it off, right when you turn it back on, screaming madness!
