Damn you! Lucky sonofabitch. I'm hoping i can snag one of the more limited runs they still haven't announced yet. Would love to hear what you think once you get it. I owned a Sputnik a long time ago but sold it and wishing i never did now.

Currently, it's a toss up between the Shoe Pedals Frog and Maxon Void. Both can transform other dirt into various upper octave fuzz mutations. I'm also fond of the Fender Blender, which can be emulated by cascading the Void into various muffy fuzzes.

Foxx Tone Machine 100%
The octave footswitch is very useful. You're using a super thick fuzz, then you push a button to melt all the faces.
I'm particularly fond of the one I have by The Out Sound that's got LED clipping options.
I also find myself missing the old McSpunkle Gnomeratron. It was very tweakable and the octave sounds were a lot of fun.

I have one of those too....And it is freaking great. Laowiz does great work.
Yup, Foxx is up there.
I should get that out.

Yeah! My go to is Upper plus any fuzz
Same. I have it after the fuzzes and the stereo chorus split, right before the HM-2 on the 'main' amp channel. I also love it just by itself.
Yeah by itself is a very cool fuzz sound. Fuzz on chords and clean octave on the high notes, until you play more than one string at once then fuunnnn.
Upper forever! I've got mine first in the chain before all my dirt. With delay, but without other fuzz, it sounds like robots, and I love it.

I'm easy.
Give me an Ampeg Scrambler, Roland Bee Baa, and a Fender Blender, and I'm octave fuzzed to where I need to be.
Clones AOK as long as they're proper (i.e. none of this re-imagining the boost on the Bee Baa bullshit)

Fuzzhugger Phantom Arcade and LAL Octavella are both really neat.

I tried the creepy fingers pink elephant. It was pretty cool for bass, but I didn't keep it

Just thought of another rad one that's the exact opposite of these nice pricey octave up fuzzes: Blue Box
Too bad the fuzz is a bit weak to use by itself, they're cheap and supposedly pretty easy to mod
The glitchy unpredictable sucky tracking is what makes it fun, though I kinda want a less sloppy version of the bb now

I would think there should be a couple booteek options for something like that, no?

I think I basically want an OC-2 with a build in tonebender-like circuit. Any ideas anyone?

Looks like imma need an Upper! The FZ-2 is my current favorite octave fuzz.
@frigid - Haven't tried one personally, but the Glitch Computer is supposed to be Blue Box-y and you have control over the tracking. Good call on the Blue Box, btw.

I'm excited about it, but TBH, I'd rather that it would have been just another run of the original version. I'm not crazy about the size of the V2, nor the fact that it has side jacks.
