Anything by Metasonix is going to be rude and family unfriendly, but hard to find.

Any PLL-type unit would also be gnarly, but expensive.

Perhaps the Mountainking Decomposer? Add to any dirt already on your board.

The Noise Swash and Thornoscillator are by far the gnarliest of the gnar when it comes to extreme noise and mangling. Really depends on what you want to do though, many of the suggestions here seem to be of the more restrained, controlled chaos variety, which can be cool if that's your thang. Or you could put your entire board in a loop with a switchable feedback looper.

The Bitquest can definitely get all up in your face

The zvex mastotron comes to mind. The super duper 2 in 1 might do it with 1000000db of boost, depending on your amp.

Megalith, WMD Geiger Counter, Red Panda Bitmap, bitquest too!

RMA Dirty Doper (use with a cheap function gen for more fun)
RMA Crustacean
Something by ElectroLobotomy
This thing:

Seppuku Anal Synth or digitizer (old version)
Electro Faustus stuff that's been mentioned
LAL Cyber Psychic
Boss DSD-2 with feedback loop into trigger
Zoom MFX

I think anything can be crazy...Just gotta tweak it/feedback it.

Carlin ring mod is a good feedback candidate. Put a zoom MFX in the loop.

These are all rad suggestions and I'm gonna have to look into them more. I already have a Bitquest and a momentary feedback loop on my board, along with a ricochet that can do some pretty fucked up stuff in the two octaves up setting. That said, a lot of the fuzzes posted are ones I hadn't thought of that would do a ton of what I need.

Pll-ish things get real fucked up real fast. Noise Swash is a good suggestion. I've got both on my board, they do not like each other.

TWA Great Divide is out of control. I just got one a few weeks back and the thing is not only super versatile but also heavy as fuck. 12 internal trims/switches too. Control over absolutely everything. Monophonic, but it don't really matter when you got 5 voices set to different intervals.

Some ring mods can get into weird fuzzy territory. The Mold Spore is what I've been gassing for.

There's also the RM1N for a different kind of weird fucked up gain, and you get a damn good reverb to boot. Or the Line 6 FM4 for a cheaper noise fucker upper.

An RM-1n like the one I used to have with a momentary drone instead of feedback is on my list for this board for sure.

Not that I disapprove of snark or anything but as far as I know the Amp on Fire Muff mod is Mountainking's predecessor to the Megalith, which was built originally for the Shrinebuilder record, which came out in like 2009?

So it's got some OG cred.
