I'm going to start cloning DS-1s for suuuper cheap. In fact, I pay you to buy them.

Here's my .02 which doesn't count for much.

How much is this guy really making on these things? I get that there's minimal R&D as he's just 'cloning'. They're super cheap and he's probably got to pay an export fee to ship stateside at least, not to mention his costs. I'd bet DBA shit is not the easiest to get in his locale. I'd also bet it's fairly expensive.

His graphics are god awful, and based on his demos they're 'pretty good' clones. The ED2 specifically sounds off to my ears.

If he's making a few dollars by doing an okay and cheap copy of DBA stuff who cares? Any real gear head isn't going to by because it's cheaper than the real deal by $100. I bet it simply makes DBA things a bit more accessible to people who wouldn't spend $300 on a reverb anyways.

Idk. I wouldn't buy them today, but maybe when I was just starting my gear addiction I would've snapped one up to check out the DBA mystique and cvlt status.

He's not duping anyone. He clearly says they're his take on DBA clones.

Maybe fuck him though. I have nothing useful to say.

But yeah, buying a clone + an etch might be pricier than any original DBA

i don't like it. that said, if the dude cloned some rare DBA that i didn't have, i'd buy it .

Pretty much. I wish I would've snatched up one of those Armageddon clones that were floating around earlier this year.

Bear in mind, there were those here that still weren't all that happy about a clone of a pedal that was never produced that had the same graphics as a pedal that was never produced.

Never been worried about anything but what came out of the speaker.
