What do you use all your gear for?

I've been playing drums in a band for the last couple of years.

I finally started a new band where I'm playing guitar. I'm collecting shiny things at the moment, getting ready to unleash them on unsuspecting audiences.

cool, it's interesting to see all the responses. I guess I should've made an "all of the above" choice too, huh? sorry.

I use my gear live, mostly, and bring my live gear into the studio (save for a small tube amp for recording that won't cut it live). I usually trade or sell off anything I don't use live so I tend to keep things _fairly_ simple.

Was and am a Pedal Junky
Worked in a studio for 2 years, left to go play myself and pursue my guitar and equipment love, Studio stage...
Didn't find anyone to jam with as I live in a small town, so...
Stopped playing for a year because I was too busy trying to do other things so crapped up and had to spend these past few months re-learning the guitar to a decent standard, which i'm still not happy with, but need someone to jam with to get it back up so that was the bedroom stage.
Went to live in a music orientated town, got drunk too often and couldn't get a job as the town was just full of other drunk musicians and pubs, my gigging stage.
Just started accumulating equipment to join a new band who i'm auditioning for as I sold alot off when unemployed and not playing, plus I'm just
trying to get my dream pedal board and not have to think of it much, accumulation stage that hopefully leads to a decent gigging stage again.

Oh and who voted I buy what people tell me too, your a bad, bad person...

I use pedals, guitars and 2 amps live, and at home I have a lot more pedals, synths and drum machines for recording.
