DBA makes some very unique sounding fuzzes, but if you could buy three devi fuzzes, or two devi double fuzzes, or whatever combination of those configurations, you know, you'll be getting multiple pedals for the same price, all of which have their own very unique fuzz sounds that are going to be lightyears away from the sounds that most of your guitar player friends are using. When you can get a shoe gazer on this site for $130--hell, even if you buy it new for $195--I don't see any reason to spend $300 on ANY single fuzzbox. And if you want a badass-looking enclosure, you can make your own and just rehouse any pedal you buy pretty inexpensively. My $300 ilf buy/sell/trade page recommendations: $130 on a used wolf computer or shoegazer, $80 on the seppuku fuzz overleader that's on the page right now, then $80 more on a DF or Hype. Then you've still got 10 bucks to go buy some beer to drink while you rock out with your THREE new fuzz boxes.

Well I was gonna grab a White Spider and a CHK CHK BOOM. but I can't find any damn White Spiders used. I know there's that SG on HCFX for cheap but I already have a Cherry Pop so it would be like paying for half the pedal because that's all I would use. Decided against the Supersonic Fuzz Gun, but I'm pretty serious about buying that Interstellar Overdriver Supreme on the ILF used gear page for $240 but now I'm looking at this fucking Geiger Counter and I don't know WHAT to do. I just want some crazy bright gainy fuzz with some usable sounds and some oscillated-fuck-you-ear-attacks.

My audio-science teacher/tech person at my school used to know the DBA guys pretty well and said nothing but good things about their pedals. I haven't tried the fuzz gun myself, but it sounds good from the demos I've heard. $300 is a bit pricey though...
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Current ILF Love: OHNOHO CHK CHK BOOM, Mellowtone Melx Fuzz 2, EQD Dream Crusher, Devi Ever ID, Dr. Scientist Proto-Miniberator - new vids eventually

i would go to youtube, look at as many fuzzbox demos as humanly possible, and go for what sounds the coolest to me and what fills the biggest sonic need. $300 is alot of money!!

Well this guy on HCFX is selling his DBA Interstellar Overdriver Supreme for $220 which is quite a score and it can do a ton of stuff (including oscillating DBA fuzz and Octave fuzz) so I'm gonna go with that for now and then I'm gonna search the buy/sell section of ILF for a Devi pedal with some an oscillating switch in the $100 since I got some extra monez doing a little landscaping for my neighbors. That way even if I don't like the DBA I can sell it for $100 profit on ebay (retiail in the local Moog shop is like $435) and I'll still have my Devi (which I KNOW I will like).

...It's a damn good thing I'm writing songs with tons of fuzz and noise lately.

I didn't even set out to get a DBA pedal they just keep popping out at me. Honestly I think they're very good pedals but they are overpriced and some are pretty useless for me, so I'm not the biggest fan in the world I just keeping finding what I want atm in them. But yeah I'm almost certain I'm going with that IOS. I'll post some demos when I get it. A Soundwave Breakdown would ultimately be the one I want (aside from SSFG) but I can't find any used :idk: . Besides, I'd probably get a similar sound with the Devi Ever DF right?

w/ the exception of two things, i think i pretty much have the "gotta have" syndrome out of my system...

anyway. seriously. i KNOW the feeling. it will just keep "popping up" & "popping up." it'll NEVER go away until you actually get it.

There is a BIN for $190 for the SSFG. That's a pretty fair price. IMO.
