This is a cool idea. Superego + Raptio would be really awesome too, but bigger footprint I guess.

I need to play a Superego. I didn't know until recently that it was just a more complicated Freeze. I was under the impression that it was a typical synth pedal before.

You could go bigger in a lot of ways. Delay and verb in the box would be helpful too as the Raptio can be kind of abrupt and doesn't latch onto samples like the Hexe Revolver. Delay is good for cleaning up the transitions a bit. I'll probably just do the two pedals though.

The Sound Freezer is a weird one. I can't find demos anywhere, no idea what it sounds like, but apparently you can find it in obscure places - http://overstockguitars.com/product/x-v ... d-freezer/
I really want to see a video of this.

No dice.

Sound Freezer is vaporware :trippy:

Its for sale and in stock on that web site...

Called Overstock Guitars just now and despite having the pedal for sale and saying they have 20 in stock they don't have any. Guy said the company had some problems with them and they stopped making them. But when they figure out a fix for the problem they will make them again.

So not vaporware, but there are very few out there and they stopped making them.

They shipped a batch of them. They just stopped after that initial batch.

I use it explicitly because its one of the best tools for predictable live results. I have a judder and a revolver and other stuff at home where I can tinker more but the Raptio does what I want perfectly every time when I'm playing a show.
Seedy wrote:This thread has introduced me to the Raptio and IT IS ALL I'VE EVER WANTED. Then, I read the rest of the thread.

As a Freeze/Superego/DD5/DD6 glitcher I want what whoismarykelly is making and dammit now I can't stop thinking about it.
I feel like its something MASF could easily make themselves - just a Raptio deluxe or a Raptio 2 or something. But they're far away and there is a language barrier so I'm inclined to just cobble it together myself and upgrade to some panel mount pots and switches all around.
I thought I'd read that Raptio 2 was supposed to be happening before end of year?

whoa -- that shift seems pretty cool. could get wild with that. but at $180 it's a bit challenging. could hit up the freeze and do a soft switch mod for a lot less.

I want 3-4 Freeze pedals built into one fairly compact enclosure, with memory presets and a USB port or Bluetooth for exporting/importing samples. I'd love to be able to hit switches and recall pads.

At that point a sample pad would almost be more effective.
