Do you realize that taking any leisure involves making sure you can actually afford it because money is by definition limited (or it wouldn't exist)?

I realize that I wanted a Euro so I went to work and saved up money and have been slowly spending said money on the Euro.

Do you realize that the job market is limited in offer and demande or it wouldn't be a market? Do you realize that time is a limited value and therefore working more to make more isn't entirely possible?
At that point, I could just ask you if you realize that limitations are a fact humanity has to deal with, such as lifting their legs to climb a set of stairs, or else we trip and fall. But you might object that you went to work and decided to ignore gravity?

Putting Uncle Grandfather's entitled and unrealistic attitude aside....
I'm planning on getting into Eurorack for one reason: it'll give me abilities that I can't have otherwise. I want a synth that's not restricted to the traditional ideas and closeminded approaches most synth users take towards synths, i.e. full-sized keys and wanting everything to sound like a synth from the 70's.
Because you're essentially going the "boutique" route, you aren't going to be able to do some of the things a mainstream synth can do (presets, polyphony). The more I think about that the more frustrated I am with synths in general. Because going with a eurorack system does mean sacrificing lots of those things that make it easier to play. But sticking with traditional synths has lots of other restrictions....
Idk, I'm still a bit torn on it. I plan on getting a Pittsburgh Lifeforms to play with next year to get a taste of how it compares, and maybe expanding into video synthesis if I end up really liking it.

i agree with Shiny New Tech Doesna Equal Good Tech. i'm just getting back into some hardware stuff, and all this shizz i WANT, but i keep trying to pay attention to what i actually need.
and to learn something i have REALLY WELL before adding more loots.
Have a sense of financial gravity and staircases, it's free, you don't have to work for it

To be perfectly honest, I always thought UG had aspergers syndrome and rich parents. It just makes the most sense.
I worked with people with aspergers syndrome for a few years (and I have someone close to me with the same diagnosis), and from what I can gather from reading his posts, he seems to fit the bill (or a similar diagnosis, like OCD/some sort of anxiety disorder). My point isn't to poke or make fun of that assumption, as the(/those) diagnosis(/diagnoses) is(/are) suffering from a lot of misconceptions/boarderline mythology, but simply to state that I don't think UG is a man who would fit in a normal job, hence I don't think he is the right person to listen to when it comes to common folk economics (as he has no idea what the fuck he is talking about
). To add to that, I don't think he is trying to be mean when he states what he does. It's simply seems logical to him.
