Oh yeah. I can feel it.
I keep looking at the KP3+ second hand prices over the past year because I like the mini kp2 so much, and want the midi functionality. OH GAWD. GAS EVERYWHERE

Hah, this thread reminded me that I have a Kaoss Pad Mini that coworkers gave me when I left France ages ago.
I need to hook it up to my Reface YC/PS-3/Mini/RV-3/PS-3 dronemonster and see if it can add something interesting to the mix...

Awwww yiss. Clips please.
The loopers that let you control loop length and direction, various filters and step phaser are my faves. The bass distortion is actually quite nice on synths too. Tempo sync'd pump reverb. Mid frequencies pitch shifter

It's allllllllll good.

I became infatuated with the Kaoss Pad the first time I saw These Arms Are Snakes and the vocalist was using one. He was being all sorts of weird and his vocals sounded killer and I never looked back.
I buy one every so often and then end up flipping it when I don't have a project that necessitates it. Fucking cool little devices. I loved it for vocals but never used it for much else.

yeah. i can't be sing at ALL. and i don't just mean no talent.
i have FEAR.
like. even if i want vocoder or auto tuned silliness to play with. i have to close the back room door and be super quiet and i still stumble trying to do anything audible out of my face.
so this will be mostly for synths.
BUT I'LL TRY TO MUMBLE SOMETHING INTO IT.
STOP PUSHING ME.
..... the Plus looks HAWT, but found a KP3 cheap so a good intro i think?

KP3 is SOOO COOOOOL. I really want one again. the fx are great, loop stuff is rad and the granular patches are so good. I used it for real time stuff vs sd card and loved it. showed it to some crust buddies one night and it blew their minds.."so this is how you make beats??"

ended up overnighting it to some dj who needed 2 of them for his set the next day. miss it

Had a KP2 many years ago.
Fun toy/tool. Didn't really use it much, but did some loop mangling once in a while. Have been thinking about getting a KP3...

Afaik the kp3+ doesn't have much more capability than the kp3. I remember it came out right when I was on board to get the kp3 and I eventually decided the price difference wasn't worth the extra features.

I miss my kaoss pad. I only ever used it when I was doing casio-techno wankery, but it was FUN. Kinda think it'd be a lot of fun to use in conjunction with a no input mixer setup....
