I actually prefer the vibrato, over the chorus, on my JC-120.

Dunno why this amp would be more desirable than a JC-40.

well it's about 25% lighter and smaller than the JC40, but you're losing like 25% of the volume and the features too, so :idk:

when i was considering buying the JC40 it seemed ever so slightly bulky to lug around on public transport whilst this would probably be perfect, but 30w doesn't seem like it would cut it for playing with a loud drummer huh.

Smaller. Cheaper. It's a factor.

@UC & MonkeyDancer, yeah totes. How my VI is handled is a total factor for me. I'd also like enough power to rehearse with my bandmate whose amp is a 50w Hiwatt head into to 2*12" cabinet.

as much as i love the JC as-is, i really would love to see them push the design with a louder power amp and neodymium speakers.
this thing is 12kg still. they could probably make a beastly amp with that weight if they tried.

For reference, this is the video I mentioned earlier https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylS6AyYN7zk

Very little low end...

Yea. saw that when it was released.

That's typical JC mixing, if they didn't go for that, the whole point would be lost.

Not hearing a lack of bass in my studio cans though.

This seems pretty cool. I have some good amps already, but this'll probably be cheap enough that I could pick one up for recording and maybe practice or small shows. It'd be great to run my modular into those stereo ins and add a hint of the chorus.

I'm not going to though because I already have enough amps. But if there was a little more room...

If it had speaker out it would be the perfect "grab-and-go" stereo setup amp! For small gigs I could have used the internal speakers and when more air needs to be pushed I could have hooked it up to a cab. Maybe it needs some drill and soldering iron treatment.
Any word on price?

Jazz Chorus has never been cheap new.

Used, can find bargains but not like a few years back when nobody wanted them but a few of us.

Used to be able to get JC50-60s (same amp, just minor revisions from launch to the final 1x12s) for < 150 without looking hard.

Yea, I paid more than market at the time for my JC50...but...the terrible stencil was worth a premium.

Bob's Country Bunker, look out!

Yea. they were < $300 shipped used from GC a couple years ago, it's funny how people have "discovered" them again.
