I still think the guitar playing on that song is the best everrrrrr. I love when he noises it up at about 2:55. The second would be Fripp's solo on 21st Century Schizoid Man live on Earthbound, which I couldn't find.
To be honest I'm so sick of the guitar solo as a "now solo for this many bars" kinda thing. Absolutely hate it.

Jimi's playing makes me want to take acid and dance in the street naked.
Gilmour and Clapton's playing just makes me want to weep. It's so fucking precise and beautiful.
Page and Townsend always make me want to get drunk and
and scream "WHOOOOOOOOO!!!! YOU GUUYYZZZZZ RRRRRAWWWWWKKKKKK!!!!!!"

Yes.
Someone decribed Jonny's playing at the end as sounding like his guitar is "puking up dead computers". Which is pretty damn accurate.
I've actually realised how much I liked Radiohead lately. "In Rainbows"put me off them somewhat, but I put some of their older stuff on last week, and remembered why I had it there:

That's the performance that converted me years ago. The loud bits are up there with Jonny Greenwood's greatest guitar moments ever.
On a side note, I remember seeing Radiohead live back in 2000, the first date of the Kid A UK tour in a big tent. I've never seen a busier man onstage than Jonny Greenwood.
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.

so I'm on my Itouch right now so I can't give you a link. Butttt
Between the buried And me-selkies (the endless obsession)
It's amazing. Listen to the whole song if you can stand it. It's at the end. Last like 3 min.
It's impossible to describe.
