ALSO.

In the name of Swedish Nationalism, why on earth would you rep Opeth when you can rep Gadget, who just put out a brilliant record this year?

THIS IS FUNNY BECAUSE GOROTH DOESN'T LIKE DOPESMOKER

Anyway... I do remember when Opeth didn't suck. It was always until Heritage. Heritage was not bad but it started a trend which has made the band boring. Which is a shame because Watershed was a motherfucker of a record

I'd even go with saying it's because they just stopped being as metal... When I started with Opeth... jesus that was a LONG time ago, must have been like... 13 or something... the thing that really dragged me into it was the ability of juxtaposition. Their acoustic passages are some of the most pretty guitar music I've heard and then it used to be contrasted by these massive double-kick brootz with fucking fantastic vocals. The riffs were great, sometimes clichéd but fuck that - it's metal, come on.

Also I'll always have a special place in my heart for Pre-Heritage Opeth because I spent quite some time learning their music on guitar and I remember the times trying to nail that shit down very fondly

I haven't heard the new single, album, whatever. I gave up after the previous one. I'm not sure I need that kind of negativity in my life man

I don't really like ghost reveries or watershed. The stupid keys kill it for me. It's not that I don't like synths or Hammond in general, but I think it ruins those albums. But DA, I can dig that you dig them.

Just wait till Åkerfeldt gives them the wet cardigan remix and ruins them too.

Not necessarily. It could be Nina Persson circa 1996.

I actually own a cardigan. It's one of three jumpers I own. Got it from my brother in law like 6 years ago. I kinda like it tbh.

I just try and keep it away from my music :D

But seriously.

Gadget.

Maybe the best grind band not containing "napalm" and "death" in their band name. I've seen them twice and they rule.

Also dos, that cardigan is clearly too small, and obviously you have retouched that image of me with your fancy photoshop skills. Scumbag.

Oh yeah, a couple of full dynamic range Napalm albums have just hit Spotify. Woot!
