I'd suggest breaking out the breadboard yourself, technically it's not too hard to try and LDR offer some flaws... such as they need light, not a dark stage, to work (hence his work around to get sound in dark...) I see your on FSB a bit Teej212, check out the Wah probe work alike, i've been looking at the design and seeing how I might go about my own version too but at current, money is the main issue for breadboarding stuff like that.

I think if you look, you will be able to find a method of allowing an LDR to work as an potentiometer and then you just need to find or design a clean boost to use it with, as I said the SHO grounds 2 pins of the pot so you may be able to get that to work straight out with a bit of breadboard work, but as of now after a long gig, that's all I can offer in help lol.

Used a lm386 instead...

so i found a LDR in this old light thing in my closet, so i took it out and i just attatched one leg to the tip of one jack, and one to the ground of another and it made a volume pedal, and it works fine...

is there a volume drop?

yes, but that will come with any passive circuit
