Damn this cursed GAS inducing thread I dont need a Nemesis and I sure as hell cant justify spending that much on yet another delay...

I love the DL-4 btw. Even after all these years, with all the gnarly competition out, and dispite the meh reliability and slight vol drop... Its still a great bang for the buck delay. Easy to use, awesome looper, and all the basic delay effects most people actually need...

And if nobody minds me hijacking this thread for a sec: Whats a cheap small ps-3 alternative for that mode 7?

...The nemesis can do that. It's more hi-fi than the PS3, but you can if you make the setting on the neuro app.

I'm not sure if you'll get anything cheaper than the PS-3. That's like $100 used, right? Maybe Mooer or Behringer etc. have some device that does it, dunno.

There's Windows updaters for firmware, appears to be control of presets *if* you buy their MIDI hub, but the base Neuro app.....SOL.

The joke is nobody makes third-party stuff (even for things that have historically had them done, like the various older Boss/Roland units) if the manufacturer announces they're doing one!

It looks like the PS-3s are at about $150 right now. I don't know of anything cheap that that to get the mode 7 sound. I was thinking of picking up an mondegreen to replace the ps-3 on my board, but the octave delay isn't reversed.

Does the nemesis continually add higher octaves like the ps-3 and mondegreen?

You can choose for it to, helix makes it continuously go up (reminds me of mode one of the ct5) and the Shifter mode keeps it steady.

The Shifter mode is seriously one of my favorite things, add a bit of modulation to it and boom.

Helix is reversed delay with pitch shift. Compound Shifter mode is like the regular Shifter but it keeps going up/down repeat by repeat.

SA told me that it's too expensive to do that shit, just like with the bluetooth. I have NO clue how much it costs to do these things, so I had to take their word for it.

I agree though.

The DD500 especially could benefit from some separate interfacing. At least SA has something that can do it! I fucking HATE menu diving.

Too expensive, port it over, done.

The joke is that says they won't be updating the app in the event of OS changes either realistically on the cell phones.

If that's the reason....guess I'll cross 'em totally off the list.

PS-3 mode 7 can be done by the Timebender Don't know what they go for on the used market where you are though, but I see them locally for 120€-ish quite often. TB+dl4 sounds like a great combo
