Or get a hollowbody without f holes. :)

More gain, more mids, and of course... volume.

I feel much smarter now, yet no less confused.

looking forward to more experimentation, probably thursday.

@rfurtkamp: You seem to be saying that the amp/speaker should make no difference whatsoever??
Your amps will have different eqs, the speakers too. They will also have different efficiency. Depending on the resonant frequencies in your gear maybe one amp will feedback "easier" than the other.

OK, this makes sense to me.
And I'm experiencinge that "easier/harder" with the SS now.
it takes much longer to build up the loop, and it is less stable. Kind makes me wonder if it was kinda built to resist feedback, stay clean?
The tube amp was more like "Hey Playa, there's some feedback coming up.. oh, you want that, too? Well LET'S GO!"
ANd once the loop was going, it was more forgiving to changes in position, or stringmanipulations. On the SS it's much easier to kill the loop.

One more thing I think I learned today: There is a 'too close for feedback' . I think the minimum distance might be related to speakersize,
because when I first fooled around with getting ampfeedback some years ago, I had only a used V-Amp connected to my PC-speakers.
I could put the sattelites right on the guitar, right over the pickup and it would wail away...
today with a 12" I could hear the loop changing in pitch as I inched toward the cone, but once I came too close... silence...

@rfurtkamp:

could you elaborate on what extra options you get for the feedbacker in the GT-100 versus the FB-2?
