I'd offer to run the tourbox for you, but I might be too busy with school. I've done IdiotBox tourboxes on here and Basic Audio tourboxes over on TGP.

I can help you organize it though. If you wanna talk about it/need advice, you can PM me.

Thanks for the offer. I'm absolutely going to hit you up for advice I get my ducks in a row.

That resonant fuzz would be crazy fun with an expression pedal input on the frequency and the resonance

I need that model feT.

That's what I'm thinking as well, and it's partially why I'm selling off this prototype. My original thinking was that the filter circuit would be a fun over-the-top tone control, but the dynamic qualities of the filter ended up being quite nice. A few months ago I did a goofy solo on a friends' song and had them turn the frequency knob while I played. I would have loved to have an expression pedal for that. The problem is that the frequency control uses a dual-gang pot, so to get it right I'd have to implement a proper CV control. That would in turn increase the PCB size another 50% and require some changes to the circuit topology. Definitely something I want to do eventually, though.

Anyway. Right now I'm taking a different tack and messing with a pedal that has just the fuzz circuit on its own with a simple passive tone control. I dig it but the controls have a weird response to them so I'm still tweaking. Here's that prototype:

Also, I am building lots of Model feTs before this month is out. I have a big stack of finished PCBs but no pots.

Welcome to a more proper place In ILF.

Isn't part of the fun of the Devi/Escobedo the weirdness?

Thanks! And it definitely is, but I don't feel good about controls that have drastic jumps in the last 10% of their range or worse, no real change in sound unless it's at one extreme or the other. I think it needs more gain stages anyway :)*

Much obliged!

Hey, good to see you around dude. Your etches really helped me get going early on and I'm still incredibly grateful.

Sup & welcome home. I've been seeing EAE wares pop up on ilf boards for a while now; you're doing something right :joy:

And you also! That madbean delay still treating you well?

Thanks, and guess so! It is very encouraging.

It's been a really busy time and there's more stuff on the reverb shop! We're doing a short run of modded Longsword V1 builds with some extra switching options and a transistor boost in front. I'm really excited about them. We had some leftover build slots that you can get in on here. Here's what they look like:

In the spirit of constant updates, here's a new thing I'm working on while waiting for parts to do a batch of Model feTs. This is the Dagger, a simplified Longsword with no mid control that fits in a 125B. I think it'd make great lower-cost option.

WOO! Would be pretty into one of these or one of the new Mu Blasters in about a month or two. I remember you saying you were downsizing the MB as well, will it also be a 125B?

Yup, the new ยต blaster looks something like this:

It's like 99% there. On this prototype the boost control is wired backwards. :picard:

I also want to change the filter knob around, as it interacts with the boost control in a rather less-than-desirable way. High boost settings are bright and the filter control works wonderfully, but at lower boost settings the tone control noticeably loads down the high end. Not a huge problem but something I'll alleviate before committing to production.
