The guys in Idaho (band) all use tenors and will have them strung in high-low registries, it can sound really neat and has made me want to get one for a while now.

I have the two pickup with one single and one humbucker. The humbucker sounds really thin, though, so I got a replacement from GFS (which I haven't put in yet.)

That's maybe the only time I've ever liked a sticker on a guitar. Now I want to try the maple neck...
