I don't think you need those RV122 to sit flush, given that the shaft is closer to the pins on them. Plenty of room to lengthen those legs if you're careful.
Hmmm, I'll take a look at them when I get home and see if that's a possibility at all.

Also, if yours are like mine, the lugs are epoxied in place, so the concerns EYG brings up about breaking the contact with the trace is somewhat minimized. Much nicer part than the cheap eye rivet shit, I'd use them if you can make them work.

Alright so yea, I ordered the wrong size pots from Mouser. I had some spare Alpha pots laying around for another build I haven't finished yet and they fit in the holes just fine. Please feel free to flog me.

The moral of the story seems to be, don't order pots from Mouser ever.

Or if you do, pull product data first. They do not cater specifically to the audio crowd which results in the occasional surprise if you're not careful.

Pots & switches are usually not the most inexpensive at Mouser. They remain my favorite all purpose supplier though.

(blah blah blah, glad you got it sorted!)

I'm just a lazy man of convenience so if I can buy everyone from one person, I do that. Really can't be Mouser for everything else though.

Guess I'll just stick to Tayda and Erthenvar though for when I need pots.

I just looked at that post I wrote and it's one huge stroke. My lord.

Yea, I'm going to stick to Mouser for everything I need that basically isn't pots or wiring. I don't know if there is any place better to buy ICs from, but Mouser has had everything I've needed so far.

I don't need help with that at least

tayda is my first pick for pots, resistors, enclosures, tantalum caps, garbage ceramic caps, cheap TL072, MPSA18. I still buy kemet box caps from mouser not sure if it makes a difference but it never hurts to use quality %5 caps either. I use mouser because I have to not because I want to. tayda wins on price.
