Ted Nugent, Gibson Byrdland. NSWF'd due to image size, and also Ted Nugent.
Lonnie Mack, Gibson Flying V.
It's weird to think of the flying v existing in the (late) 50s. I mean, 1958 was the year that Elvis was drafted.
Laura Jane Grace of Against Me, Rickenbacker 360.
Jimi Hendrix, Fender Jaguar
Eric Clapton, Gibson Explorer
The Edge of U2, Gibson Explorer. Dotted-eigth repeats, amirite?
I'm glad someone beat me to Sister Rosetta Tharpe

Isaac Brock with Ibanez. Much indie, very cred.

You'd never expect an "indie" band to be rocking super strats with floyd roses. Isaac always rocked cheap super strats in the early days.

Guitarist/singer in Modest Mouse.

I was going to mention him, but I didn't cause he was using them for the floyd rose, specific to the sound/playing style he was after, rather than for the irony or cheapness, etc. I'm probably just splitting hairs here though.

Yeah but it is out of place for him too, so your criticism is a fail, but it was an unintentional valid contribution to this thread.
Craps.

Craps.

So, now I'm wondering who you think those Danelectro longhorns are appropriate for?

What I mean is that when I think of a rockabilly sound I think hollowbody not a thin danelectro sound.

Personally I would use it for clean craps.

Dude, was about to say... Clapton looks kinda... cool? I don't know what to believe anymore.
Also that Isaac Brock photo reminds me that he's indeed appropriate for the genre inappropriate thread, seeing that his more regular selections are those hideous jam band guitars. This one looks like a hippie threw up on a PRS:
