"Shine" Autchre remix incoming...
I think they're an often very interesting institution, albeit not the easiest music in which to immerse oneself. Abrasive bleeps and bloops, nearly unidentifiable beats/tempos. It's hard to get much beyond paying attention to the surface, ultimately leaving me unable to see the core (if there is one).
I saw them a few months ago and it was pretty cool at first, but standing around in a club where nobody could bob their heads, let alone actually dance... I had to bail after about 30 minutes of the super loud sound of robots fucking.
I realize that might sound appealing to more than a few ILFers

I saw them live about a year ago, and dug it. Your description is pretty spot on, though.

I'm not even really kidding about that. In terms of just shirts and hoodies I have over 1000 vacuum sealed in plastic just waiting on me to lose weight or finally put on eBay. It's a bitch though because there's so much that it really monetarily wouldn't remotely be worth it to do. So I wait till someone gets big enough then sell off whatever I have. In 2007 I funded a trip to Japan just selling SUNN merch and old shit from the live shows. The hoodie went for $350
Keep q lookout for me selling burzum stuff. Then you know I'm desperate. I value my collection around $7000

Also in terms of collecting: I as a rule dislike scalping and reselling shit at jacked up rates because most of the time it has been purchased with that express purpose. I think buying out limited releases with the aim of denying others access to them from the original source at the original price to inflate values is reprehensible.

Oh I'm totally with you there. TGP is rife with that behavior, one of the many reasons I hated going on there before I discovered ILF. There were dudes who'd be psyched about a new pedal ONLY because they could flip it, with no interest in actually playing it. Gross. I feel like all of the shit we're into is made to be enjoyed, not as a vehicle for used car salesman-grade hucksters to make a quick buck.
