I don't know what's happening but I love it.

Every year since I was 17 I've watched the Eurovision Australian broadcast (which is about 14 hours behind the live broadcast) and drink and my wife and I laugh our asses off at the train wreck that is beholden unto us.
Usually I drink when doing so.
Occasionally a decent pop song surprises us but it's mostly amusing and very interesting watching entrants resulted pop culture through this bizarre nationalistic and political filters.
To be honest I get a really good sense of what's happening politically in Europe from watching it.
And Kudos to Sweden for doing their best to acknowledge the gay community in last nights opening tune.
I know that's pretty touchy in places over there right now, but who the fuck is anyone kidding by trying to pretend gay people don't like Eurovision?
I will be watching the playback again tonight and posting, it's be rad if some of you were here with me.
