Whirr, sure. The other two, no. I think Deafhaven have at least one more good album in them. And Alcest shouldn't even be lumped in with the other two. That band is fantastic. Deafhaven is pretty good but msotly just
Sunbather was really good. The worst things about Deafhaven are (a) any use of wah pedals or even conventional guitar solos on their albums and (b) watching the singer live. It's physically uncomfortable. I'd honestly rather sit through a Ghost B.C. concert than that shit. He looks like he's in a perpetual state of strained defecation. Like the whole time he's on stage, he just... can't... poop.

Deafheaven sucks. I hope they break up. I think I listened to Alcest once but I don't remember but if they're mentioned together with Deafheaven I sure as shit hope they break up as well.

Sounds like johnny wanted to go full time and the rest of the band are not about that life. Said they havent been with it really since 2005, which coincides with the time their last decent album was recorded. Sounds about right to me. Really glad they decided to get out before they got any worse.
Looking forward to what haughm comes up with in the future.
