I am that donkey, pretty much. Huge rangemaster fan. Have a jerms, pigdog mini, and a dam red rooster. Love them all.

Yeah I'm having one of those moments where I'm baffled I haven't tried one before.
Gonna try and score something to hammer my Fuzz Throne with.
As well as cop those God tones.

Cool man.
Well this no reserve ghost auction ends tomorrow morning.

If you win the ghost bid you might wanna ask Ian about biasing it to sound good at non-English weather conditions. Dunno it this is possible it's just something I thought I'd, that he might tune it to sound good in different conditions to yours. Skully am I pulling this out of my ass?

Eh it depends honestly. I used to play with rangemasters on my board all the time and I don't think they're as super sensitive as like Fuzz Faces. Maybe it was the transistors I was using in them. I've not done any drastic climate testing though, just between house and gig/stage lights

Won the Black Country so that'll be cool.
Still might hit Mr. Skulls up for a bit for something something soon though.
Is an 8 stage optical vibe a doable thing, Skully?

So, question. Was thinking about starting up a new thread but I'll just ask here.
In the Rangemaster / Tonebender world in particular, there are a couple brands with ridiculously expensive offerings, e.g. DAM and Pigdog.
That said, I don't see a lot of comments that these brands are hype... they seem to get lots of love. The Pigdog Driver sounds excellent in the samples I've heard, and the guts are obviously something to marvel over... but are they worth it? I don't see myself spending 400 bucks on a Rangemaster anytime soon, but I've always been curious.
Anyone interested in trading an Aphelion for a Driver? An absurd market value pedal exchange?

Dude, that's just the mojo fuzz world.
I get it for things with NOS diodes and stuff but generally, not to the degree where more monies equates to more toanz.

Yeah I figured as much—I think I was just wondering how something so expensive could have so few detractors, but then again it's not like I went on a quest to find naysayers or anything.
I totally get into the NOS transistors and all that stuff, but at a certain point it does become pretty ridiculous. The "Air Jordans = better ups" effect.
