can't say i'm surprised, their previous album made it pretty clear which direction this was all headed.
vocals sound fucking horrid. something about the guitar work is kinda un-energetic, too. i mean, he's better at sweeping now, great, who gives a fuck.

TFOT were probably the band that made me challenge myself most when i used to teach myself guitar tabs in high school.
i'm not so happy about calling them a big influence nowadays but we coulda done worse, right?

Haven't listened to the full album but I dont really want to, very much identify that this isn't for me anymore like neon said.

Also in listening to old stuff from time to time I find myself cringing pretty hard at some of Thomas' lyrics, not just because they're poorly written but there's a decent amount of violence towards women packed in some songs. I don't give a fuck about his intentions or fantasy or however therapeutic it may be, I really dont like listening to that kind of shit anymore.
