I should have tacked an added fee of $100 for anything star wars related because it pains me to do it.

My Most common request is stock artwork. I've only done like 2 Star Wars things. I guess the nerds hate me!

Pretty rad. This came out a hair too soon as dminner fits in here and probably some others... Haven't etched a pedal in a year but going to do some soon, been way too fucking long. Having a real job sucks.
Everyone has there own methods which is rad. I can't believe people complain about imperfections when metal is etched with acid. Those sound like the wrong customers....

Dude. Sigh. The worst is when a fucking builder complains about it and you've etched like 20 pedals already. Sigh. That kind of thing is the main reason I stopped. The cost vs benefit is NOT worth it. LOL. My last six months of operating it was one complain after another, so I threw in the towel. I could have kept going but I was just so unhappy.LaoWiz wrote:Pretty rad. This came out a hair too soon as dminner fits in here and probably some others... People don't realize how hard that shit is and how much time it takes.
Side note, I noticed some douchebag criticizing my tutorial I put up. Sigh fuck youtube.

Well that was laser though. LOL! It was still unpredictable and I wasn't overly happy with the results.
I'm glad you like it though! That's really all that matters!

That sounds very frustrating. The only time I did a run was for Matt / Idiotbox for Blower Boxes that Voivoid was going to sign. I only did 10 of them but it took forever because they were painted black but there were accents of yellow so lots of masking. I was happy when done but it took way to long. I sent the enclosures to Voivoid but don't think they ever signed them and sent them back to Matt. Too bad because they came out pretty good.jwar wrote:Dude. Sigh. I think he's referring to a sound economy and not the marketplace previously mentioned.

haha yes exactly. A Sound Economy is my blog. It was originally written for another popular website that ya'll likely frequent a bunch but management changed or something and they no longer wanted it. It's really an uninteresting story.D.o.S. wrote:I think he's referring to a sound economy and not the marketplace previously mentioned.

People like that are the same pricks that think JHS makes top notch graphics, from what I've seen.jwar wrote:Nah it's more like "hey I thought this was going to be fucking perfect, I want a refund". Honestly I stopped etching because I was tired of the moaning of people expecting perfection from an imperfect process. I was going to start offering services again, but after thinking about it, I don't know if it's worth it. LOL
Honestly, IMO, if you want crisp, perfect looking graphics, find someone that does screenprinting or waterslide decals.
If you want something that'll make people go, "holy shit that looks rad and dirty and like something from Blade Runner," etch that bitch.
