I pretty much tune it out most of the time. Like it's there, but only as background noise. I don't care for the tortured cat scream so much either, but at least it's not whiney emo vocals either.
I've also been kindly asked NOT to play this album at work anymore while anyone else is in the building. Which works out ok since most of the time the last 2 hours or so I'm the only one there.

I have honestly never been asked this! I listen to a lot of stuff at work, too! Only time I got ragged out was when I brought my guitar in to soundtrack a film project the kids were working on. My principal came in and pointed to my pedalboard and asked, "What... is that?" Beaming with pride, I said, "Oh, that's my pedalboard!" She said. stoneface, "Can you turn it down?" Pffft. What a philistine.
