Welp. Reporting back. Feeling like a world class dildo.

Bought several Lava Tightrope kits because they were the fastest way I could get my pedalboard up and running. After successfully assembling one and subsequently botching like 3 or 4, I'm not sure I've ever wanted to smash stuff more in my life. Followed the damn instructional video to a T... make the click... make the damn cliiiiiiiiiiick

Unopened kits returned. Unfortunately had to eat the cost on the one I opened. Live and learn. EBS Flats ordered. Now more waiting. Should've listened.

:picard:

dude, sorry about the Lava

Is being a world class dildo supposed to be bad or good?

I feel like just owning a world class dildo would be enough for some to want to spend the night with me. Being one would set my sex life on fire

Hahaha I suppose being a rubber dick wouldn't be so bad, if I were a particularly majestic one.

World. Class.

Alright. Most of the EBS flats arrived from BassStringsOnline, waiting for a few they didn't have from FC. Roughly wired up the board... definitely a spaghetti situation going on that I'll have to straighten up, and hopefully EBS will make a cable in between the 28 and 58cm.

Everything's wired up, aside from the Warped Vinyl (which will go through the PBC) and the RC Booster (which will be after the looper, just for added signal volume at the end if I want it). Fuzz situation will most likely change, and maybe the OD as well... overall though, really fucking fun playing with this thing. The parallel modes in loops 7-10 are awesome (currently the comp, RM1N, SST and Timeline are in them), even without getting into the internal line mixer and tweaking the level of wet/dry beyond default (I guess 50/50?).

The EBS flats are really awesome, aside from the length issue. Some of the plugs have to face upward due to lack of space on the back of the PBC, but I don't think it'll be a problem. Tidy this fucker up and I'll be beyond happy.

Cali76 really needs to go... it sounds so fucking great but is just way too mammoth. Might sell and check out the Compact Deluxe version—that way I could easily squeeze in one more OD (Mini) and the midi box for the WV.

Looking good!

I use cable ties on the underside of board to try and keep things tidy. Sometimes they help with the length of the cable being a little too long depending on how you route them with the ties.

Thank you! Yeah I was thinking of ordering a couple more grommets and drilling one or two more holes in the Blackbird for routing underneath. I dislike Pedaltrains because of lack of being able to put stuff anywhere I want, but those gaps between the rails do come in handy for organization...

That looks so fun! I always wonder about a nice switcher like that. Just seems so dang useful to be able to switch up the combos and order. I feel like Its easy to stretch like 6 or 7 pedals into a lot of excellent combos that wouldn't be traditionally possible.

Yeah that's the idea--combos I couldn't achieve otherwise, but also just the ability to switch between pretty drastic settings while I'm singing. Many times I've had to just simplify an idea because I couldn't tap dance it well enough.
