My first pedal ever (roughly age 12 I think?) was a DOD Classic Fuzz, so this concept tugs at mah heartstrings a bit.

Heh, it has been known to happen!

That Coloursound Fuzz w/tone was just a lark, whipped-up by Leaves Turn. But since I posted that we have gotten some interest from some folks, so maybe, one day...
Hi DigiTechRep! Big fan of everything you do these days - thanks for joining the forum! That one-off is a cool concept, indeed - I'm looking forward to whatever you have on the plate for this year

I can't get too deep into it until it is officially released but this particular item was conceptually mine, but the vast majority of the execution was ILF's own Leaves Turn. I basically told him what I wanted and he made it happen.
Welcome. Any idea on the release date?

Tom's here! I'm a borderline old fart, so I remember when you were rep'ing DBX on the recording forums way back.
Interested in this new thing. Top range of that knob is giving me the notion of a PTD-ish Bosstone-esque circuit--is that off base?
For now, I'll spare you my valuable product development suggestions, though . . .
Now I don't have to go to TGP to hound you about this idea (from a Space Station reissue thread):
Gone Fission wrote:This has come up before. Take one or two of their DSP chips, port Vortex stuff, port Space Station and other algorithms from that treadles pedal series, bundle in a box with something like the RP360XP form factor, and sell it to all the shoegazers and P&W folk. TGP has this come up perpetually for the Space Station, less so for the Vortex. Tom, Digi's guy who engages over there, has indicated he's interested enough but that Digitech won't move until they have a good idea that they can make money on it. Recall the Space Station, as well as the Vortex, did not sell for shit when they first came out.
I'd really like to see Digitech do something like this but bolder. Also bundle in the Time Machine delay stuff, Harmony Man pitch stuff, their Lexicon reverb algo ports, and their modulation stuff. (Notice this makes success/failure less dependent on the albatross algorithms.) Include capability for two or three effects at a time, deep editing, and real MIDI facility including 5-pin ports. And skip the dirt and amp sim stuff. At a price of $350 [or so], if it could be done, that could undercut the Eventide H-9 a bit.

Holy cow, that takes me back! Remember the VSPlanet forums? Does that date me too much? There were a couple of Usenet forums that I used to hit too.

Hope it's interesting. I'm one of the few people who bought the Time Bender when it was current and not on blowout, and am still running my venerable Digi RDS rack delays.
Do a good fuzz pedal that fits my needs, and I'll gleefully buy it

*Not* a Muff for starters.
Past that, I'm open to a lot. I have quite a bit, but I wouldn't mind something to bridge the gap between wacky and normal.
Think I'm up to 25-some fuzzes and another 10ish dirt boxes on hand after all.

Fuck yes digitechrep!!! The one thing I was jelly tgp had! The timebender was my second delay ever, the first being some mooer pedal. That means it's the pedal I've owned for the longest time and it's certainly one of my all time favorite pedals.

Forgive me but I have to be pretty general until this is officially released.
About 3 years ago I visited Chicago and hit a bunch of music stores looking for oddball fuzzes (yes, that is something I do for fun). At a particular store they had a pristine '70's Maestro FZ-1S. One mode sounded horrible, the other mode sounded glorious. Unfortunately it was priced too high and I passed, I spent the next year trying to find a more reasonably priced specimen. Over time I ended up finding two from different time periods, neither in pristine condition like the one I found in Chicago, but both great sounding (one I bought from a guy in New Zealand!). This circuit is our starting point, we have changed quite a bit, and it now has two usable modes instead of one, but the core sound that captured my imagination remains. Leaves Turn and I have had quite a few different versions and many a failure, but I am really happy with the result. We are not playing it safe with this at all - it's a bruiser!

Oh, hey, another hard hitting question.
Are you only here because we're the only forum that 'got' the Timebender?

I've actually had a personal account here for a few years, but I created an official account after Chankgeez invited me over. But yes, the Timebender is one of those pedals that only a few select really handsome and intelligent people understood.
