Yes, I believe you are correct.

Yea it had a three way switch that changed the output filtering a bit.
Would there be interest in a run of these?

I'd probably take a Jero-built Double Beat if I could scrape up the cash.

I'm in Jero if it has the filtering switch.

got this from some site
"The Roland Double Beat is another of those funky Japanese 1970s Fuzz-Wahs. The Fuzz section is pretty well done. The first stage has a fairly good sound, which is a lot like a Fuzz Face, followed up by yet another gain stage to distort even more. The three fuzz tone selections are quite different from each other. "

could the second switch possibly push into the other gain stage/s?
not sure how the circuit works...

I don't know if it's actually changing waveforms. The last position is more gated and weird. I should dig mine out and have a go. I'd be curious as to what is actually going on in the circuit.

It's pretty simple. Here are some comments, and additional modes from Mark Hammer...

doesn't the original have 3 waveforms?
John (Basic Audio) built me one with the fat control and the 3 waveforms. Awesome pedal. I'm sure he'd build another. I bet Jero would build a great one too! Do some in that cookies and cream hammerite finish that you do Jero!

I don't know if the caps have drifted in mine or something, but it would really benefit from an input gain control.
(you can roll your volume back on the guitar but it would be more convenient for quick switching to have that on the pedal)
