I looked through all the shure numbers I could remember because that was my first though, but couldn't find that one...google sucks sometimes but I had remembered seeing a shure like that on ebay once...Good looking out.

It does look like a Shure 548. Which are outta my price range. I bet there're a bunch of vintage Japanese mics that look and/or sound like it that I could afford though.

Yea, I think that is where I got sidetracked by Primo...they did some nice copies.

Sony was rebranding them for a while too. As was radio shack (and also sony rebranded as radio shacks). Nakamichi is mixed in there too sometimes. Lanier is another 'name'.

I'm fond of old Turners, but they typically require a re-wire or special cable. Quality versus price point is decent though, since you've got to get your hands dirty.

I have an re-20 after watched my the "in rainbows" basement session, need to grab an sm57 if I can find one cheap.

Are those all sm57/58s except for the lead vocal mic? What's that one (some akg with a weird wind screen)? Maybe a unidyne iii on the cymbals?

Also, what wah or fuzz is that?

I first thought it might be a Super-Fuzz, but I don't think it is.
