Not sure what "tuning the roll off" exactly means, but if there's an easy way to mod a rat for a lot more low end without any loss of gain, I might look for yet another rat :)

Dunno what the deal is with the Fat Rat either, a google search for a schematic didn't bring up anything. There's claims that it's NOT just a ruezt mod or anything, and to be honest, in the clips I checked the 'fat' setting didn't sound all that different to me :idk:

I guess that to a certain degree it's just like with muffs. If you don't like em whooly and mid scooped, you're just not that into muffs. You can mod the fuck out of them to the point where you get rid of what makes a muff a muff :idk:

Re-reading the mod post, I might have the technical description off, but basically you are giving the pedal more low mids and lows without reducing gain. This may be muddier, though, so very handy to have it switchable, as provided for in a few ways in the link:

Guess I didn't look long enough! :)

Looks like it's worth a shot, thanks a lot for that. Now I finally have an excuse to get a big box rat with a second footswitch for a feedback loop, and the bass boost mod on a toggle switch :)

So yeah, that'd be my suggestion to the OP. I personally wouldn't bother throwing in a bunch more switches for more clipping options, but go nuts if you prefer led/mosfet/whatever :)
