I really wanted to love the big sky (I liked the blue sky and wanted to upgrade to big sky). But, I think it's too hi-fi for me, and like too pretty, and has too many options for tweaking. Everything all sounds the same to me after a while. I dunno I think I might just prefer more simple reverbs, but that's just me. I do like the Big Sky more than the Blue Sky though. The extra modes and features do add a lot more versatility, though the blue sky is rad.

The El Cap is awesome. My buddy has one and it's super rad. Not really the same type of pedal though.

Oh, I also agree with the Big Sky sounding like... artificial or whatever with fuzzes. But, I think that's just what happens when you blow out a signal with squarewave fuzz and then put really articulate, detailed, hi-fi reverb on it. Haha. I've had that issue with other reverbs too. Sometimes worse is better!

I've had to really work tweak my EQ and gain to find a sweet spot, otherwise I find that dirt with the Big Sky breaks up in a shrill way that I'm not crazy about. Part of me is even a little bummed to have sold my Holy Grail, since it was not offended by gain in the least. Big Sky is really great for high definition clean sounds, though.

i love the BLUE SKY thats is why i got the big sky but still working with it it hasn't been as good as i expected it too be. i don't use my el cap at all any more all the little nuance it has goes away with fuzz or OD which i really was hoping it would enhance anyways
