I have one, it's rad. The only issue is it only takes SD card in and the memory is limited to like 5 minutes per kit (or sample I can't remember). I've got an SP 404SX and it's a very useful bit of equipment but I think it's far too bulky to use for field recordings.
I think it would be far more convenient to use a phone or Walkman for recording. Maybe with the addition of something like this:
