Haha I just saw it and put this there. Give it time. As long as it's in good humor, and doesn't turn nasty, it'll be great. Casecandy, agent provocateur.

I think my first vinyl was actually either the us release of
Or the burzum boxset. It was back when picture discs were really popular and was such a piece of shit.

Cassette (like 1980s at some point gift): Fat Boys Crushin' (<-- 'Tis true because my first BetaMax tapes were Disorderlies and Real Genius) and The Safety Kids (see below)
Cassette (early 1990s with my own money): Primus Pork Soda
Compact Disc (like 1993 or 4): Weird Al Alapolooza as a gift
Compact Disc (1994): with my own money was 7 Seconds alt.music.hardcore and Christ the Album at the same time ('cause they were the cheapest punk cds in town).
VHS (1996): Strange Brew (not an album, but the most important bit of media in my life)
LP (1998?): IIRC it was a Del the Funky Homosapien 12" single for DJs (like no vox on one side and the full track on the other...came with two identical records...but it was a joint purchase I think)...
LP (2000): The first record I bought without being a joint thing was I think some Chaos U.K. best of (there are a freaking ton of these and I don't have any clue which one it was because they were all like bootleg quality with no name) and Dr. Know's best of
EP (1996): Peter and the Test Tube Babies Supermodels (via trade for jolly ranchers I think)
download (sometime around 1997 or 8 or something): Kraftwerk I (via napster) took me weeks to get it at the lowest bit rate...'cause 14.4 baud...might have been downloading some early T.S.O.L. too...don't remember
iTunes or pay service d/l (20xx?): O.L.D. Old Lady Drivers
First mixtape ever given to me (way back in 1994) had Subhumans, Toy Dolls, 7 Seconds, Misfits, Dead Kennedys, Charged GBH, and Filth on it
My parents first CDs were Pink Floyd The Division Bell and that Plant and Page album No Quarter

I've been racking my brain on this a bit... I'm not positive about any of these, but they're my best guesses:
Cassette:
The Airheads soundtrack and Skid Row - B-Side Ourselves, both together
CD:
Nirvana - Bleach
Vinyl:
Annihilation Time - Cosmic Unconciousness EP, specifically
this pressing.

I was seven or eight. I saved up my allowance for weeks to buy that.
My wild guess is that my parents fucking loathed it as well.

I meant how old were you when you bought them, but...*does mental math very slowly*...figures no younger than 13. Okay, that makes some sense. I was imagining an eight year old shuffling through dusty stacks at the local record shop and picking up Frances the Mute.
