I think they're awesome and I'm gonna get one of these to go along with it:

Interesting, but I'd have to play one to consider "worth it to me versus what he's asking" - I have to consider what I can get for the money and whether the cool factor is worth that upcharge.

I see the cost as fair, and that's coming from someone who's never paid more than $200 for a guitar :idk:

I have to consider market to include comparable types and models - including factory run guitars from same country of origin.

It's the $5 milkshake from Pulp Fiction - is it that damn good of a shake?

that's a lot more nuanced than "overpriced, though."

This.

I'm a bit biased though. The whole having a guitar made out of MY old skateboards is a big win. Something that, yes I could do myself...If I had time, and more tools, etc. Additionally, I don't have confidence in my ability to craft a neck properly

Yep. Hence the "I'd have to play one" and the bar would be pretty darned high - I'd weigh what else I could get for 2k into the equation.

It's sort of like if I was considering an Electrical aluminum guitar but didn't *need* the particular featureset - is the asking price worth it to *me*.

Same thing that goes through my head when I consider buying a Gibby over an Epi or a Fender over a Squier, and I factor in used instruments too.

But nuance and a fixed income go hand in hand!

You're like a trampoline. Trampolines are fun. By default, you're fun. You should be happy.

I love the sexual tension between those two.

I don't like MOST of those. As an ex-skater, not enough of the skate design is preserved. As a guitar player, most of them look pretty basic, imo. If I had a bunch of money, I'd buy one and just have it shipped to Vernon Reid. He'd fuck with that, for sure.
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.
