Was coming here to say this. V4 with a 412 and 215/810 is the perfect bass vi tone for me. I also use a Peavey Heritage VTX (basically a twin with a solid state pre) plus a 115 bass cab

I've been running mine through a acoustic 140 and a 1x18 emperor bass cab. Sounds nice and plucky when played clean and sounds super heavy with fuzz.

I've really dug the way it sounds through a twin reverb as well, the spring verb and tremolo sound like a gotdang swamp.

Are there any small amps that would be good for a Bass VI? I need something for practice/recording and have limited space/freedom to play at high volumes.

Jazz Chorus sounds good at any volume.

Can get a 1x12 version or a 2x10 or...

I've been using a Ampeg BA-110v2 around the house and it sounds fantastic. Relatively cheap, built like a tank, loves pedals and fuzz. I lean towards bass-heavy sounds but I still get great chord clarity and a bit of punch and twang with the EQ set flat.

Planning on getting a bass vi as an x-mas present to myself this year. When I want it to sound like a bass, I'll be running it through my Yamaha B-100 and a 2 x 15 cab. When I want it to be a complete twang machine, I'm getting a Supro Thunderbolt + reissue to replace my current guitar amp. The Thunderbolt + is 35 watts (switchable to 45 and 65 watts) and has a beefy 15" speaker. Hit that with a Maestro clone and a Mr. Black Deluxe Plus, I'll be in spaghetti western heaven.
