It's a nice dream.

I think I know where EHX got their graphics ideas:

Ugh... I hate myself for admitting this publicly...
but I quite like the sound of that JHS. Like... a lot. Of course, the shame of having one (even bought used) would force me to rehouse it.
The EHx one though?
YAWWWWWWWWWN.

I am tired of the JHS hate on ILF. They make good stuff. I stand by it. I have GAS for a lot of their pedals. Fight me.

If you can overlook the gay-hating International House of Prayer cult connections for ugly clones, knock yourself out. Fucking hell.

Daily reminder that casecandy unironically posts nice things about JSH on a website founded by a pedalbuilder who had one of her designs stolen from JHS because he has the self awareness of a meth-addled gnat.

What's not to hate? The owner is a boring, unlikable dude with questionable christian friends and bad business stories in his wake, the pedals are overpriced and unoriginal and I'm pretty sure made by emaciated altar boys. Who cares if they are "good", there are sooooo many others out there making cooler pedals that do more/weirder things for less money. I'd rather they get support than some iffy company that has enough already.
EHX is another company I won't support. Granted they have some unique stuff/classics and are affordable, but they're so ubiquitous, look ugly (the newer ones) and is run by an old horndog, plus I don't trust their reliability. We have a holy grail and an octave multiplexer lying around our rehearsal space that are noisy/don't work half the time. Then again the other guitarist in my band loves them and has several of their pedals (ravish, superego, pog, B9).
That's just my take on it, never having owned any of those pedals. I just prefer giving my business to smaller builders/people I can relate to and respect.

You wouldn't like what we come up with. In fact the whispering heard in the blues lawyer back rooms suggests that we will do away with the clean boost altogether and just opt for a shorter cord. One blues lawyer I know plugs his Michael Bloomfield signature tele directly into his vintage dark brown ,almost black, face Fender Super Deluxe Pro amp with one of those six inch pedal patch cords.

If only there was an e-forum or some kind of "webzone" where you could learn about guitaring pedals.

As usual I don't really care what anybody thinks about me or my opinions that much.
Used to, then I heard this Taylor Swift song? The one where she shakes it off? Great song. Changed the game for me.
D.o.S., your argument is really the whole Hyperion scandal thing? That's still fresh for you?
Has Devi not proved herself to be at least a dozen times as loathsome as the JHS guy by now?

No one likes Devi here anymore either.
(OK, not no one, but Devi has a slightly different history here.)

So I gather and I do not put forth any pretense of having been here for that history, nor of appreciating it as much as D.o.S.
But I am still allowed to have opinions. And if I had to choose between buying a JHS and buying a DE:FX (non-Dwarfcraft), I would go with fat Death Cab there any day of the week.
