That's a good point. I blew a chance to get an RD when I worked at a shop. Could have gotten that beauty at cost. Fuckin' dream guitar right there.

Lefties? Bueller?
That SG Special T is the sex, but I really wish Gibson would stop putting the slim taper neck on every. Goddamn. Guitar.
Also, some of the "key features" read like bad engrish: "High density for great sustain, coupled with self-lubrication for superior tuning stability." The fuck?

I get what they're saying, I just don't get why they're saying it like that. I have degrees in confusing words and that copy is all kinds of ugly.

I guess most would take a squished headstock over robot tuners. I think the lineup is okay. Heaps better than last year, probably a necessity because I'm sure they lost their asses between the robotuners and price hike.
Maybe the 2017 lineup will be decent

The only Gibson I'm lusting after right now is a 335 or 339.
I already have an Epi Dot though, and Bare Knuckle pickups. Sounds and feels awesome. I still want one of those satin 335s though.

I have to say im bored by the whole thing. They pretty much just rereleased the entire 2010 line minus the whole SILVERBURST ALL THE STUFF aesthetic. Also it looks like they chose to put the big 70s SG headstock on everything. Not really sure why they did that on les pauls but whatever its not like i was going to buy one anyway. Its cool that they came to their senses but i think this is far too little too late. Tell you what: release either an rd or an LP custom with vintage specs, bring back the actual ebony boards, and have colors that arent disgusting at under three grand and i might consider buying one then immediately sending it back because its a piece of shit. I had 335 gas last year and bought a $4k trini lopez. Piece of shit. Sent it back and got another one. Piece of shit. This was their supposedly best quality memphis shit too. If i keep having the gibson gas im going vintage or just getting a heritage. Fuck this entire company until they shitcan henry.

At this point it's mostly just amusing to watch Gibson blunder and stumble as one of the biggest guitar companies in the world.
Dude, you're fucking up. Gibson has been making shit guitars for the last 10 years. Don't buy anything made after '04. I took a chance on my DC Special with it being an '06 but it was in like new shape so I was able to sort it out still. I've had '03s with no issues but '04s and '05s with neck and intonation issues. '08s-'12 are the WORST quality wise though.
