I think it's an important point that what works for one situation might not necessarily apply to another. A grindcore band probably shouldn't make an hour long album but if Sunn O))) or the Swans put out a 15 minute album id be a little disappointed unless they had several of them. A single prereleased from a band with a fairly conventional structure is different than a movement from an album of textural soundscapes which would just feel out of place without context.

Anything that is even one 1000th of a second more or less than exactly 40 minutes is not an album....

Yeah I don't give a shit about the length of an album. I like short albums, I like long albums. I like albums. If an album only has one song on it I like then I will delete the shit out of it and probably not bother with that artist again. Albums are an art form in and of themselves and it's how I prefer to digest my music. Individual tracks don't usually get me excited or curious and if it does then I was probably going to pick it up anyway, but it does happen so I dunno.

It's a song.
Although I get the impression that it is only a movement.

Dopesmoker is both an album and a song, and yet thinking of it as a composition would probably be closer to the mark. It does have verses and choruses, instrumental break, etc., just spread out so far it's not readily apparent. "Drop out of life," etc., that's the verse, and "Proceeds the Weedian," etc., that's the chorus. It's definitely not a song suite ala "Bohemian Rhapsody" or Side B of Abbey Road because the tone is consistent throughout.

Dopesmoker is an album with a 63 minute title track and a second track (Sonic Titan). Jerusalem is a single-song multitrack album. Easy.

Have you ever thought about killing yourself?

Just curious.

No, suicide is for the weak. I even secretly judge the shit out of those death with dignity people. Fight you fucker, fight until your last gasping breath to be here and feel that pain, that is what I would do. I love life every second.

Right but do you have to do it so vocally?

And also that 'suicide is for the weak' line is some lame bullshit.

It's not a line, it's how I feel. I can't help how I feel.

I think posting abortion photos is some bullshit but diff'rent strokes, I guess.

It seemed to fit where the conversation was going: you didn't know what you were talking about, so all involved decided it would be best if it died in the womb.

You have problem with visual representations?
