I lloooove my cosmichorus...I was playing "the earth isn't humming" today and the cosmichorus nails the pre-chorus riff.

just a couple of small tweaks -- no new knobs or switches or anything![]()
ryan is just always fine tuning and improving......should be here by next week, and i am gonna do a FULL demo of it as soon as it gets here!

Ok, so the Cosmichorus... it's not a new version or any major changes or anything like that... just a little tweak in a couple places that gives the effect a bit more depth and speed. One of the challenges I always face with pedals that have oscillators in them is something that most people probably never will encounter but I go to great lengths to uncover.. ticking and thumping. I test our pedals in very high gain situations to make sure they don't make noises I don't like. Usually the ticking and thumping of the oscillator is closely tied to how dramatic or extreme the effect can go, in terms of both depth and speed.
I recently made a little change to Cosmichoruses that just gives them a bit more depth and speed, it was due to messing around with how I remove the ticking/thumping from the circuit and I found I could push things a bit further now.
Maybe Bobby D could show us a picture of his CCs pcb to show the difference when he makes us all a nice demo video and if anybody with a Cosmichorus v2 thinks Bobby's sounds slightly better just let me know and I'd be happy to modify it and pay the return shipping. It might turn out to be a relatively minor change, I didn't get a chance to compare it directly with a regular version without the mods, but if you think you hear a big difference then send me that pedal and I'll make the changes!
YNIB, I'm afraid I don't think you'd be able to find a Cosmichorus v1 in any store, we stopped making them at the end of 2008.
Bobby D wrote:Ryan and Tanya are SO DAMN AWESOME it's not funny. i am REALLY tempted to send them my main dirt boxes, and have them make me a BIG freaking Dr Scientist board, with half Dr Scientist pedals (cosmichorus, sunnay day delay, RRR, tremoloessence, the cleanness) and my other pedals integrated into one big Cornish style board. it's really tempting

I wish they'd do that....
It'd be cooler than a Cornish board tho, because it would have some awesome Tanya-art.
